Manufactured by SB Joinery Accoya was chosen as the ideal material for all the doors of this new build project in Berkshire. SB Joinery offered the complete door package, and consequently every exterior facing door was made using Accoya wood.

Accoya was specifically selected as the ideal wood due to its insulation, dimensional stability, 50 year guarantee and aesthetic finish – which the owner felt tied in perfectly with the overall exterior appearance of the house.

Designed and Manufactured by Simplicity Timber Solutions Accoya was chosen as the ideal wood for these curved folding sliding doors in a project called The Hermitage.

Accoya was selected due to its aesthetic appearance and ability not to shrink or swell during seasonal weather changes. The Hermitage project was featured in the December 2016 issue of Grand Designs.

Designed and Manufactured by Simplicity Timber Solutions this curved folding sliding door system was crafted for an opening of 9 linear meters. This was designed to enable a 10 door leaf system to be effortlessly opened, plus it folds and slides in the same direction.

To seamlessly bring the room together, Accoya was also used for the 16 sided hex decagon lantern light ceiling feature. Dimensional stability is key for large joinery installations such as this.

Working with the designer and contractor SB Joinery recommended Accoya as they were tasked with providing a seamless quality finish.

Manufactured by The Sash Window Workshop Accoya was chosen to help transform a late Victorian property based in London.

The building was in such bad condition the windows and doors were rotten and required replacement. Accoya was selected for the windows and doors due to its durability and stability. In total 10 new Accoya sash and casements windows and 5 new Accoya doors were installed within the property. Since the installation the overall look of the street has dramatically improved.

Designed and manufactured by Bath Bespoke, Accoya was selected for the windows and French windows and doors throughout this stunning country home in Bath.

Accoya was chosen as the ideal wood for the project thanks to its seamless quality finish and its ability not to shrink or swell during seasonal weather changes, meaning Accoya doors and windows open and close effortlessly all year round. Speaking on their decision to use Accoya for the project, creative director Tom Jones-Marquez said: “Being able to stand by our work is key for us and the stability and durability of Accoya allows us to do this more so, than with any other timber”.

Manufactured by S.Taylor and Son Ltd, Accoya was chosen because the joinery company had previously specified Accoya to the same client who were delighted with its appearance and performance.

Accoya doors were chosen for an extension on a grade II listed property by Windsor based joinery manufacturer Whyte and Wood. 

As part of a major renovation project the owners required an extension with 5 sets of doors to a south facing room. The bespoke doors by Whyte & Wood were made using solid Accoya. Accoya was chosen thanks to its durability, stability and improved insulation.

Accoya was selected as the ideal wood for this project in Surrey. To complete the restoration, the period property needed an impressive, grand entrance door. Whyte & Wood create and designed an Accoya door in keeping with the style of the property.

The size of the door meant Accoya was the best option because of its insulation and durability properties. Accoya was also chosen as coatings last longer when applied to Accoya wood, resulting in lower maintenance for the residents.

Accoya® bi-fold doors and apex selected for Berkshire cottage

When this English cottage in Berkshire was purchased by the new owners, the first thing they wanted to do was replace the bi-fold doors, which despite being relatively new, had already succumb to rot and wouldn’t open.

Timber window and door specialists, The Sash Window Workshop were chosen to replace several windows and doors, as part of a large renovation project to completely refurbish a property in West London. The project included designing a bespoke timber door that, when closed, appeared externally as a sash window.
